About Frankfurt

Frankfurt, in central Germany, is a 1200-year-old city with much to offer: skyscrapers, the Main River, a famous opera house, thriving theater district, zoo, pedestrian shopping street, parks, scores of bars and dance clubs and more than 50 museums (art, German, Jewish and natural history and more). The majority of Frankfurt has been built since World War II, when bombings decimated the city. However, some historic structures, such as Romer (city hall), have been restored or rebuilt.

Today the city is at the centre of the larger Frankfurt Rhine Main Area which has a population of 5.3 million and is Germany's second largest metropolitan area. Frankfurt is not only the financial and transportation centre of Germany and one of the two largest financial centres in continental Europe but the largest telecommunications hub in Europe, too.

SKYclub Logo

Newly opened in September 2009, the SKYclub Frankfurt has already established itself and become a fixture for the clubbing scene in the entire Rhein-Main area. Looking around inside, realization dawns: covering two floors, the club's interior features are unlike anything found elsewhere in Germany. The lower floor is dominated by the imposing DJ pulpit with a white piano laquer finish that reflects the exclusively furnished "White Bar". Elegant designer sofa suites by "Bretz" surround the main attraction and heart of the club, its LED-animated dance floor. Together with several huge LED walls, it is possible to produce stunning graphical animations and lighting effects which are sure to make every visitor gape in awe and disbelief. On the upper floor, lounge atmosphere is invoked by two additional bars and, watching from the gallery, the view on the action below is guaranteed to be spectacular!
